Dating back to the beginning of the XX the century, The Jubilee Tower consists of volcanic rocks and of bricks.
According to many testimonies, these remaining traces used to serve as a support to a crossat the time of a Jubilee of the Catholic Church. Unfortunately, the cross woul have been carried away bythe hurricane of 1903 which devasted Martinique.
The cross might have been replaced at the entrance of the neighbourhood after ( The Mission Cross).
Other oral sources see there an element of the old church. Others tell that it would be the chimney of an ancient distillery previously established on this site.
