1 hour and 15 minutes spent in the heart of our best-preserved fortifications! Listed ‘monument historique’, the Fort Saint-Louis is a particular symbol of Martinique’s history, that of Fort-de-France in particular. It is the prestigious guardian of our heritage, both military and cultural, unique in the Caribbean Sea. It dominates the heart of the town and its surroundings as well as the Flamands Bay and is remarkable for its exceptional XVIIth and XVIIIth century military architecture.
