Picnic area Saint-Joseph

Enjoy the coolness of the underwoods to swim in the natural pools and play in the rapids between the rocks!
With over 1500 hectares of humid tropical forest, managed and protected by the “Office national des forêts”, this is the lung of the island.
Many streams run through the region, like the Lézarde or the impressive Rivière-Blanche which gets its source from the pitons du Carbet in which you will find the Cœur-Bouliki natural site, the largest forest in Martinique.
Wooden tables are set under the trees for picnics. Vegetation here is really exceptional. The forests surrounding Cœur-Bouliki make an outstanding ecosystem.
